YaY an Echidna..

I am thrilled to bits, that I was able to take this picture of an Echidna today. Echidna’s trundle through my yard all the time, they have a rolling, waddling way of moving, sort of like a drunken Daffy Duck. … They Trundle.. lol.. And I absolutely adore these little creatures.

I had to do an Elmer and cweep down the backward wery wery qwietwy.
Otherwise the Echidnas will put their heads down and try to burrow into the ground and there is no way known you can get a decent photo at all….
This little girl was a superstar though and allowed me to take heaps of pics of her. So here she is…TADAAAA….

Isn’t she gorgeous! We have had a few hanging around on the road and the driveway. It’s excellent.

Guess what what on my path this morning? I have a blue tongue! YAY. Nat nearly trod on it, made his heart stop! Then he called me outside to see, Amy was sleeping though. I think it is the same one that was about last year.

I wished I had my camera.

I had a bluetongue the other day, nearly made my heart stop because it had an orange stripe and I thought it was a tiger snake… phew.. Dave made that much noise though that I didn’t get a decent pic *sigh*

We are very lucky here in Tassie. A lot of native animals that are rare or extinct on the mainland are still relatively common here..
    cheers..
