This is a Brown tree frog, Litoria ewingi.

If you look closely you can see that it still has its tail.

In that last picture it looks like he has fangs! Then I realized it was the way his other front foot was positioned. ;-)

@ Ree, The “Fangs” are actually a small grasshopper that the frog has managed to catch.. :)

was this one of the ones that was in your aquarium?

one of the aquarium shops down here actually sells three different breeds of frog as tadpoles..

i thought about getting a couple.. but am not sure on how to care for them.. :(

Frogs are biological pesticides. They eat insects that carry diseases like mosquitoes. Nice theme

@ Taz, no this one was from one of the frogponds outside. If you find out what sort of Frogs they are I can let you know what sort of habitat you will need to create to keep them.. cheers kim

Those are some great shots. I love that you can see the grasshopper leg sticking out of his mouth. I am very impressed with how close up and clear your shots are!
