I think it is called a harlequin bug.. Jeff calls it a stink beetle lol. The spider was on the window and that is how I got the lovely sillhouette

Avril March 9, 2009 at 4:09 pm: Breathtaking skies!!! Absolutely breathtaking – those last two!! Love all the colours in the photos – even the blended-in birdie. How did you get so close – or did you use the full zoom -to that spider without freeking out! We get a huge rain spider that looks like that – which I touched once as it was ‘resting’ in the letterbox – they freek me out now!
