I take a lot of photos and most of them are just sitting around in folders on my desktop not doing anything. I thought that a dedicated post once a week would be a good way to share some of these photos that otherwise wouldn’t be seen by anyone other than me.
I am also remarkably absent minded and I put photos into folders and think that I will publish them later on and then then I never do.
So I have started a photo meme that anyone can join in and play as well. The rules are so simple as to be virtually non existent.
Just add your name and URL to the Mr Linky.
Publish your photos on your blog using the “Sunday Selections” title.
Link back here to me.
Easy Peasy.

VERY nice, Kim. You seem to be able to photograph in many different “styles.”
Thanks, I just photograph the things I like, then I fiddle with the photos a bit until they please my eye.
love all of these B&W shots! Both the perspective taken from under the bridge and the photo of the cross.
(sorry my link doesn’t have a linky attached….forgot to remove it when it auto-populated the name field.)
Thanks Sam, I took the photo of the cross as part of a research project I am doing for my drawing class. I love the underneath of bridges all those lovely lines and textures, angles and shadows make me happy.
These are amazing. AMAZING!!
Thanks River, I was happy with them.
You are talented.
I am also very absentminded lol The bridge photos have been in a folder for ages and if it wasn’t for this meme of mine I doubt they would have seen the light of day.
Oh… nice surprise! Your blog has had a face lift, it’s nice (not that there was anything wrong with the old one), it’s good to have a change now and then 🙂 Love the black & white images and the subject matter.
I think it looks lovely, thanks Gaby. I really like the nice clean look. My clever daughter Veronica did it for me today.
Hi Kim – River sent me over here ’cause I want to do Sunday Selections too. Your bridge photos are works of art!
Thanks Kath 🙂 I am glad you have joined in, the more the merrier.
I love photographing architecture and symmetry. I’m sure I have some of those somewhere on my hard drive….!
Today, I’ve found some hats for you!
I do like a good hat.
You take such lovely photos.
My girls were just making a “frog pond” in the back yard and I was thinking of you!
Thanks Shae,I am pleased you thought of me 🙂 Every backyard should have a frog pond. I have some links up on my frog page on how to build simple frog ponds and I mean super simple.
Looks great in Black and White Kim!
Thanks Jientje, I am pleased to see you here today 🙂
Very ‘weighty’ pictures this week Kim. Technically interesting but I like your ‘natural’ photos best 😉
Love the redecorated blog. I’ll have a long black if the coffee machine is still on lol!
I will try to have some butterflies for you soon Sharon 😉 hehe Veronica did a good job didn’t she. We had to redo the whole blog because I wanted to be able to reply to comments here as well as via email.
Oh, I love black and white photography. The image taken looking down the pylons is so symmetrical and the light is lovely through the arches. I love it.
The blog looks great. The close up of the ceramic in the header looks like foam on the sand.
I love black and white photography as well. That ceramic platter is one of my favourites, it has been in the shop for a while now so I think it is time to bring it home.
I made it!!
I cheated a bit and used some of my photos from today’s autumn festival …. hope you like them 🙂
Love the bridge photos. I have some like that – in B&W too, maybe I’ll post them next time.
xx
There is no such thing as cheating in this meme 🙂 Any photos that you choose to use are fine.
Love the new blog look. I wish I were in any way good at photography. What I see in my minds eye and what I manage to capture are veeeeeeeery different things. No matter what the subject matter I always end up with pics that look like a squashed potato.
xx
Oh Ali, I have seen your photos and there weren’t any squashed potatoes at all.
I just love the bridge shots, awesome!
It is a good bridge to photograph.
I love the bridge shots. In the second bridge shot, where you don’t see the water, it is easy to imagine you are strolling through a majestic old building!
The arches give the feel of a Cathedral don’t they.
OOPS – somehow I managed to enter your linky thing twice. Sorry!
I love the bridge shots and it inspired me to post a bridge shot of my own. Thank you so much for hosting this and I hope to become a regular participant.
Cool! I am pleased 🙂
fricken’ awesome shots Kim! Particularly that last one!!
(love the new look too)
Thanks Bettina, Veronica did a good job on the redesign, I am really happy with it.
Hi Kim,
nice shots, especially love the second and third one. I’m a sucker for symmetry and light/shade contrasts 😉 Luvly.
I was told by a friend when he saw some of my images, that I really liked lines. I was quick to respond with “No I Don’t, I like shadows” and then I looked at my images again and had to admit that I really like lines 🙂 I enjoyed these photos very much. I like how they make me feel.
Oh, and I love your new layout and header photo.
I love thee architectural shots this week, sorry for joining late!
No worries Francesca, time is never an issue with me.
Oooh, those are quite surreal! I do love the third one. And monochrome really does seem to suit the subject!
Thanks Jay I am still experimenting but I do like these photos.
Your plastics post caused me to dedicate yesterday to a follow your horror for the day! Loving your new look blog. Your photo’s are mysteriously glorious. I’m on the tree trail again. Have a wonderful week. xo.
Mysteriously glorious, YAY thanks Cherie.
