I take a lot of photos and most of them are just sitting around in folders on my desktop not doing anything. I thought that a dedicated post once a week would be a good way to share some of these photos that otherwise wouldn’t be seen by anyone other than me.
I am also remarkably absent minded and I put photos into folders and think that I will publish them later on and then then I never do.
So I have started a photo meme that anyone can join in and play as well. The rules are so simple as to be virtually non existent.
Just add your name and URL to the Mr Linky.
Publish your photos on your blog using the “Sunday Selections” title.
Link back here to me.
Easy Peasy.

I wanted to photograph water this week, but it just wasn’t working for me.
The cloud picture is gorgeous. How simple and beautiful are clouds? *sigh*
I can spend ages just gazing at the clouds. I can never quite capture their depth and beauty with a photo. The water sends me off on major daydreams as well.
Love the water pictures. And the clouds. And the trees. So much beauty in such simple things. Thank you.
No worries, it was my pleasure 🙂
They are lovely shots Kim. I love the fence on especially (you know about my obsession with fences!) The water one is great, it’s such a womderful texture shot & I like the colour.
The fence is out on a back road to Kempton. The land is very fragile out there and I am drawn to the dry country out that way.
Pretty clouds. Love all the pics today can’t pick a favorite they are all amazing.
I like them all as well Megan but if I had to choose, it would probably be the sky shot.
ooooh these are all beautiful! I especially love the clouds…. I have a thing for clouds.
I have a thing for clouds as well, especially thunderheads.
I love the serenity in this week’s selection.
My favourite is the trees on the hilltop.
Oh the serenity…
Gorgeous, thank you Kim.
Our dry hilly bits of landscape are still drier than the photo you have here, no green at all – even though we have finally had some rain. Hopefully over the next few weeks that will change but it is pretty dire here right now.
I think this week’s favourite for me is the cloud shot, gotta love those clouds 😉
That photo was taken at the beginning of last spring. I hope it rains for you soon Sharon. It was a pretty speccy sky that night
I like all of them, Kim, but especially the plovers at the water’s edge. Beautiful reflections! We have piping plovers here on Cape Cod, beautiful little endangered shorebirds. I love them, but many folks resent them because they are protected and their nesting shuts down the beaches to “off-roading”…duh! Are those oysters on the driftwood?
People are the same all over the world aren’t they. They get grumpy when they have to give up a tiny bit of space for the wild life. Yes they are oysters.
The water is my fave!! I could spend hours looking at it as well… nature is so intricate. 🙂
Yes It is indeed. 🙂
Awesome idea! I’ve linked! I love photography and this is a great avenue for it 🙂
I love the water shot!
Cool. I will be over shortly. This is also a great way to meet new people and check out some neat photos.
Easy peasy 🙂 thanks Kim that was fun!
No worries Mena. it was my pleasure.
Those trees on the hilltop brought a small tear of homesickness to my eye – it’s just so very quintessentially Aussie outback. I love the clouds at sunset the very best. I’m a great cloud observer as well and enjoy the drama of the constantly changing cloudscape. I never get tired of clouds.
It is a very Australian scene, there were sheep in the corner of the paddock as well. I never get tired of clouds either and I have a zillion cloud photos.
Sheep too? *deep sigh* We had an ABC drama series, “Rain Shadow”, on the telly last year and I nearly cried every episode at the extraordinarily beautiful, iconic Australian landscape – the long paddocks, the sheep kicking up the dust, the eucalyptus trees and the incredible bird life. It’s all very seductive and I was “this close” to booking a ticket back home.
Even the avatar for you on this blog looks a little homesick. I enjoyed Rain shadow as well.
I love all of them. Makes me want to go on a sunday drive through the country <3
Sounds like fun and reminds me of Sunday drives as a child to gather field mushrooms
The tidal flow … I had to look at while because it could be tree bark. Great pic. Amazing how nature mimics itself in other places sometimes. No pics from me this week. Fortescue Mining got up my nose so I had to go write a post about that instead. Think I’ll have to pick up my camera and go make some new pics soon.
Aaah What have they been doing? I have been having a few days off from the news.
OK – I have joined in on the strength of loving your pic of the trees on the hill. Awesomeness squared.
That is a lot of Awesome 🙂
I love sky photos, I could spend hours staring at the clouds as they change
Me as well. I actually get stuck outside cloud watching and forget what I was supposed to be doing and wander off and do something else.
Finally joined in! Been meaning to since the conference..
I am pleased you joined in. Better late than never 😉
These photographs definitely make me want to visit Australia!
Good! and Tasmania is the hidden gem.
I love the idea behind this, and it was fun browsing through random stuff to find today’s Sunday selection !
I am pleased you had fun 🙂
The water is beautiful – but I LOVE the one with the trees and the little hill. Such a peaceful, soothing, picture! Just beautiful.
I’ve chosen abandoned objects for my theme this week.
Good to see your meme is growing, slowly!
Thanks Jay I am glad as well 🙂 the photo is taken on a back road near here, I like driving home that way when I want to relax.
Love the new look blog!! Clouds are beautiful, water and landscapes equally so !
Veronica did the blog make-over for me. I like it very much myself as well. I wanted to be able to reply to comments in the comments section and so V had to redesign the whole blog. She is a clever girl.
Three generations, a birthday lunch, at historic, beautiful, Vaucluse House is my ideal Sunday Selection!
Thank You as always Kim, hope all’s well for YOU ?
I am fine this week, Cherie,I got all my sad out on the blog. It is my Mum’s birthday today so the lead up has had me crying and being a sook all over the place. But today I am ok. thanks.
Ohhhhh the sky in the second photo is soooo beautiful! 🙂 x
It was a great sky Marylin, that photo is over twelve months old and I remember my awe as I was outside taking photo after photo.
I really ‘felt’ these photos.
Amazing.
