I am rushing to publish this edition of Sunday Selections before I have to race out the door and spend the day in the Off Centre Gallery.
Here is a sunset especially for Jientje from Heaven is in Belgium.
Jientje sent me a lovely piece of handmade lace that she made that was inspired by the Tasmanian sky.
This next set of three were all taken last summer. These are gum leaf skeletonizer caterpillars. They are poisonous and will spit at you but I quite like the cranky little things.
The Blurb.
I take a lot of photos and most of them are just sitting around in folders on my desktop not doing anything. I thought that a dedicated post once a week would be a good way to share some of these photos that otherwise wouldn’t be seen by anyone other than me.
I am also remarkably absent minded and I put photos into folders and think that I will publish them later on and then then I never do.
So I have started a photo meme that anyone can join in and play as well. The rules are so simple as to be virtually non existent.
Just add your name and URL to the Mr Linky.
Publish your photos on your blog using the “Sunday Selections” title.
Link back here to me.
Easy Peasy.

I really like the sky photos.
The bugs look like the itchy bugs I had run ins with as a child.
Love both the sky photos, and the really close up of the, are they called Spitfires? I’m sure that’s what we called them as a kid, but I can’t think of the last time I saw one. Although, that may have been a dead one by the BBQ last week. I thought it was and told Miss 4 they were poisonous. Which means I would never have been able to take that close up photo for fear it would spit at me (wuss! Hate bugs.)
That second sky shot!!! Oh, wow. And the caterpillars made me itch – just looking. Well captured as always. Hope your day in the gallery is productive.
Wow. Those Sunset Shots are a m a z i n g.
And those bugs…a m a z i n g detail….but personal appeal level…= scratching too….like others who’ve commented.
I posted Sunday Selections – my homework – from Photography Class. Last night, the teacher (new to blogging) hopped on over and checked out the pics and sent me feedback. Gotta love the internet…
Have a great day out ….Denyse 🙂
The first sky photo has to be one of my absolute-all-time-Kim -favourites. It’s stunning!
They’re beautiful sunset shot, Kim. Not so fond of the caterpillars, but I can appreciate the technical and aesthetic aspects of the photos. Joining in again today, after a bit of a break.
I love the second sky shot!
The caterpillars are very pretty, in spite of being poisonous, but then a lot of poisonous things are beautiful.
In the last shot, they look like little strips of tiny diamonds. like you’d find on dangly earrings.
Wonderful sky shots and I am loving those caterpillar close-ups!
For skeletonisers, those little critters aren’t leaving much skeleton! Love how nature provides something to tidy up everything on the planet – except human-made rubbish 🙁
WOW those sunset photos are so just WOW! My fav is definitely the first photo. I know you have titled it dragon sky but I swear I can see another of your horses galloping across there.
Oh Gadzooks Kim you’re a hard act to follow your images are breathtaking. My post is basically just to make contact … as I emerge from frazzledom … LOL!!!
That first sky photo is breathtaking! Love it. So many elements to it. The caterpillars are cool too. They look menacing!
Another breathtaking Tasmanian sunset. Thank you so much Kim!
the first two remind me of Black Saturday.
