The Smug. She has it.

This cat, Veronica’s cat, is stopping me from doing any work.

We are engaged in an ongoing battle over the computer chair.

I leave the computer. The cat jumps into chair.

I throw the cat onto ground (gently), the cat jumps onto the desk, somehow she manages to press ctrl, alt, delete with her paws. Then she blocks the screen for good measure and starts banging her head into my hands, DEMANDING that I pat her.

Cat hair goes everywhere.

I need a tissue and get up out of my chair.

Cat jumps into my chair.

I think she is winning.

The Smug, she has it.

    As she should.
Beautiful cat, who knows her place in life is to be adored and worshipped and ensure the humans do not get to absorbed in anything that doesn’t involve her.

Yes, you have nailed it. That is exactly how Tilly sees her place in the household.

Pmsl… Rocky tries to steal my seat/desk/bed but I just keep shoving him out of the way.
Well, these days I just sit on him till he gets the picture, to be honest! 😉

heh.I try that tactic as well but Tilly starts to prickle my back with her claws and then of course I move forward a bit and she ends up with all of the chair except for the edge that I am perched on. It is a losing battle. No wonder she is SO SMUG. bloody cats.

They all have it. Recently we bought two new computer chairs. We should have bought more. As I type this Jazz is ensconced in the other. And how he resists being moved.

lol, no wonder the Egyptians worshipped cats. It was probably easier to just Deify them rather than to try and make cats do what we want.

Beautiful photos, Kim. Yes, cats do have a way of getting what they want, no matter what.

That sounds so much like one of my cats!

We are their servants. Tilly is trying very hard to train me but I am proving difficult.

I love cats. Of course, being a Leo, I’m the biggest cat, so in my household, I rule.

  • Jientje January 10, 2012, 7:18 pm

After all, she is a beautiful cat now isn’t she? She deserves your attention and she’s determined to get it, it doesn’t matter how! I love your photos of her.

Thanks Jientje, Tilly is 12 now and I have been throwing her out of my chair for many years now 🙂

One of our cats walked across the keyboard of my laptop last week in order to get my attention and managed to turn the image in the screen around. So everything was upside down. How she did it? I couldn’t figure it out. Fortunately hubs is more patient than I am and he found out the way to get my screen into ‘normal’ mode again. Clever cat. Okay… and clever hubs 😉

hehe I was in my email programme when Tilly walked across the keyboard and I saw all my emails in the sidebar scrolling very fast downwards. She had pressed some sort of shortcut that was deleting the emails very quickly lol. I have no idea what it was.
