Two hundred and fifty…

When I hit the publish button this will be my 250th post. Yay!!!

My gorgeous14 year old God daughter B is off to Japan this Friday. B is really excited and wishes to thank YOU. The Lovely Internets, who donated over $100 towards her trip. You can read all about it here if you want. I think that the trip will be wonderful. Can you imagine 20 ‘country kids’ getting off the plane in Japan then hitting the noodle bars in Tokyo before heading to Osaka? *sigh* I wish I was going (and I bet B’s mum wishes that she was going as well)

I am going to Melbourne with Mum on Thursday, just for the day. We fly out of Hobart at 9am and leave Melbourne at 8 pm. So are there any Victorians out there who can tell me what I can do in Heidelburg for four hours. I have googled Heidelburg and I really don’t want to go to Dominos or JB HiFi.. *sigh* I was thinking of catching a train and visiting the National Gallery but I have never caught a train before and I am a tad nervous about it.

It snowed here yesterday and this morning we are snowed in. I read in Veronica’s comments that XBox wasn’t entirely sure whether Vonnie was serious or not when she mentioned that some roads would possibly be closed because of the weather.

Yep XB she was serious. This is Australia mate and any excuse for a sickie will do.

2 inches of snow on a major highway and we shut the bugger.

cheers kim xxx

Love the pics, Amy looks like a snow princess 🙂
    Fingers crossed for Melbourne.

Grab a train to Flinders Street station, it’s a zone 1 ticket.
Walk out of Flinders Street Station so that you’re facing Federation Square. Turn right, stay on that side of the road, and walk up, over the bridge across the Yarra, and you’ll shortly be at the National Art Gallery.

Can’t give you any advice about what to see and do in Melbourne. It’s more than 20 years now since I lived there and when I did I was mostly at home with the kids.
The snow looks beautiful. Amy looks beautiful. You’ll have to knit her a colourful scarf…..
