  What a fantastic moonshot. Where I am I often don’t see the moon until it’s already high in the sky. I might just as well take a photo of a rice paper moon lightshade for all the difference it would make. i remember living on a sheep station in SA’s north-west briefly in the sixties and one evening watching the moon rise, huge and yellow, a glorious sight.

  I took a bunch of shots very similar to this a couple of nights ago. What a coincidence, eh?

  In another coincidence, I’ll be finding out today for sure if grandfatherhood is in my immediate future… All signs point to yes, but it hasn’t been confirmed by anyone with a medical degree yet.

  Darn that baby – it’s a beautiful picture and I’m so glad that you had to stay up to take it but I’m also sorry you had to stay up to take it. Hurry up grandson! By the way – I didn’t read anyone else’s comments so I wouldn’t be intimidated by them, so sorry if I’m repeating everyone else!
