Sometimes the words escape.

And once they have escaped, I have nearly always lost them for good. A sentence or an idea will pop into my head and I will examine its beauty, entranced by the possibilities and then the words will vanish.

I am left silent and wishful. Nurturing a small regret that I hadn’t written them down, trapped them on paper or contained them here so that I could revisit them at my leisure and ponder what they meant.

I lose my words too. I’m pretty sure Isaac steals them to nom on, returning them soggy and unusable.

Either that or the word fairies pinch them. I’m not sure yet.

@ Veronica, Hmm… I think the cat steals mine. Her meow sounds remarkably like milk

    Oh Kim. {{hugs}}

  • Mrs. Oh October 20, 2009, 12:24 pm

No words, just hugs and prayers.

  • Joyce-Anne October 20, 2009, 1:25 pm

Please know you are not alone. ((HUGS))

    I know what you mean.
And sometimes words are not enough either.

    Hugs dear.

I think sometimes we have to accept that things slip away from us…hard to see unflinchingly that we are not in control. Hugs.

Sucks when that happens. I blame the weather. Gotta blame someone or something right?; )

Amazing photo of fire!!! Four words … written down … just for you!

  • Xbox4NappyRash October 21, 2009, 3:03 am

literally even jotting down one key word can help you remember. put one word into a text message on your phone.

    always helps me.

  • Hyphen Mama October 21, 2009, 7:13 am

I’m the same way. If I don’t jot it down RIGHT NOW, I’ll forget it forever. I will text myself, leave myself phone messages, use bathtub crayons on the shower wall or bathroom mirror, or write something on my hand. People think I’m nuts. I prefer to think of it as saving my sanity.

Tell me that fire is in your firepit or fireplace and not the forests around your home?!

I sort of know what you mean. I don’t think my words are as beautiful as yours but some days I have some in my head and they just drift away leaving me feeling like I’ve lost something.

Words escape me all the time. Even if I have a brainwave and write down a keyword or two, I can look at them later and have absolutely no idea.
    Obviously I’m not a writer….

Words, ideas, what and where. All on little notes scattered around the house. I find most of them eventually and simply assume the rest couldn’t have been that good or important.

Glorious fire picture although my fondness for flames is somewhat diminished since the bushfires earlier this year.
