I take a lot of photos and most of them are just sitting around in folders on my desktop not doing anything. I thought that a dedicated post once a week would be a good way to share some of these photos that otherwise wouldn’t be seen by anyone other than me.
I am also remarkably absent minded and I put photos into folders and think that I will publish them later on and then then I never do.
So I have started a photo meme that anyone can join in and play as well. The rules are so simple as to be virtually non existent.
Just add your name and URL to the Mr Linky.
Publish your photos on your blog using the “Sunday Selections” title.

Easy Peasy.

I really like the last picture.
I love macro pics. What fascinating hungry little creatures.
The skeletonizers look like little strings of gold and black beads.
Are they really that shiny? Or is it from a flash?
The light through the leaf it very pretty.
My selection is up too.
They are really that shiny River. I don’t use the flash on my camera as it makes the photos look icky.
Fascinating to see nature in action like this and even though it’s probably not a good thing to have caterpillars eating their way through your garden, nature is what nature is and the last image is quite beautiful.
Oh, I do like your little caterpillars – and that skeleton leaf too! 🙂
I love bug pix, as you know!! The first caterpillar photo is incredible. You’re inspiring me to want to get out and take some more.
Really wanted to be part of Sunday Selection today, but didn’t want to bore people with pix of kids (as if my readers don’t already see enough for them. LOL!)
Will jump back onboard again next week! 🙂
The gum leaf skeletonizers only eat the leaves from the Eucalyptus trees. So they don’t do any damage to the veggies or the ornamentals.
I took these photos thinking the textures would look good on some pots and then I forgot about them.
gorgeous pics as always my dear.
I love the last one!!!
Love the caterpillars, though they make me itch just looking. Thank you.
Hehe, my fav is the middle one as we are caterpillar MAD here.
Though I would buy the 3rd one as a print and hang it on the wall.
Love the texture Kim! My email is giving me fits so I am sorry I haven’t replied to you yet. All is well 🙂 Hubby is up for a premotion at work – I told him if he got it that in 2-3 years we are taking a nice long expensive vacation. You won’t ever guess where I want to go – but if I get there you best have my vase!
I love the clarity in the last photo, what sort of camera do you have?
Do those caterpillars turn into butterflies or moths Kim? We have lots of moths at the moment. In fact if we left the outside lights on we could use them as insulation 😉
I like the third photo best, the colours are so cool looking it’s almost like frost.
amazing photos Kim!!
I’m linking up for the first time today.
Great photos Kim – love the patterns in nature.
Love macro photography, even if hate all things creepy crawly….! Nice work, Kim….
I need to organise my photos, so hard to find good stuff to link up to. And I keep finding photos of my ex – eek!
ooh love the leaf skeleton!
We found some furry leaf eaters on our walk today but they were BIG fat ones!
That hairy, snakelike creatures like these transform into totally different flying creatures is a fascinating, magical trick of Mother Nature I think. We have a couple of shrubs in the garden that get gobbled up by hundreds of small caterpillars every year. I don’t mind. And one of our labradors doesn’t mind either. She loves the tiny creatures. As a snack that is. Weird dog. I have never seen the other two labs eating caterpillars.
Anyway…. that last shot is beautiful 😉
After meeting you last weekend I just had to drop by and join in!
I love your fuzzy caterpillar shots, I have often wondered who the culprits for the leaf skeletons were!
That third leaf is really beautiful. You could blow that up and put it on a wall, you could. Lovely.
Love the macro photo of the leaf. The caterpillars… not so much. lol They gave me the eevie geevies. lol They remind me of the caterplillars my youngest daughter caught last year that morphed into oak moths. So gross.
You can read about that experience here:

First time visiting here and I am so glad I did! What a fun meme!
The leaf skeleton is so beautiful!
Intricate leaf – beautiful! Caterpillars – hairy but nice!!
Whoa! I thought “Aww, how cute!” when I saw the first one and then, “AHH! How terrifying!” when I saw them all grouped and devouring. Dear! I hope the plant came out okay.
Lovely, reminds me of my childhood. I loved watching them eat the leaves…even though the poor plant is literally a skeleton.
Awesome photos! I am a frustrated photographer and have lots of trial photos in my HD. So will join in next week.
