Finding some balance

Or trying to at least.

I am drawn to photos like this.

And paintings like this

A page from a sketchbook

Cups like these

A form like this

I enjoy taking photos like these next two

As much as I enjoy taking photos like these two

I make work like this

And I want to make work like this

But I am very happy with work like this.

and this

Oooh. Where to start. I WANT that painting, and love, love, love your work. And the photos. Artistry at its best.

You can find the painting online, It is part of the Turner Bequest at the Tate Gallery.

Thanks for the compliments, you have made me smile. I am off to do some work now. Inspired by the black and white form of Fernando Casasempere.

There are some very beautiful things here, and wow, a lot of them you have made yourself.

I love all your work, especially the Silence statue, it’s my favourite of all your works, and the Ashes and Despair cups.
I like that black and white books wall too. It would look great in a library.

An eclectic mix of images Kim. I like that you make such varied objects and pictures in your work, it wouldn’t be half as interesting if you stuck with one style all the time. And Turner is one of my favourite artists.

Away for the next few days so do not worry about the silence 😉

Oooh, that first photo made me queasy! And that hanging horse makes me very uncomfortable. But I love all your work… One day I will get my hands stuck into some clay…

I absolutely cannot abide and it makes me want to throw up the horse one. As a child they put harnesses around cattle that had died when they were sick before they incinerated them and it brings back that awful memory. Sorry….

Wow, you are lucky to love so many things. I love the notebook, your cups all of them, the thingie in the garden, the eggs are they dinosaur ones I wonder to myself.

You have a very busy brain Kim, some days!
