We have been doing Sunday Selections for 25 weeks now. Some Sundays I really cant be bothered and just whack up any old photo that I find in my archives.
Other Sundays, like today, I become seduced by the infinite possibilities of light and line and light and shade and find myself losing time as I compare edits, and I happily wander off into my otherworld, of daydreams and shadows.
Thank you for joining in with Sunday Selections, because if it wasn’t for your participation I know that I would have very quickly become bored with this photo meme and it would have just faded away.
The Blurb.
I take a lot of photos and most of them are just sitting around in folders on my desktop not doing anything. I thought that a dedicated post once a week would be a good way to share some of these photos that otherwise wouldn’t be seen by anyone other than me.
I am also remarkably absent minded and I put photos into folders and think that I will publish them later on and then then I never do.
So I have started a photo meme that anyone can join in and play as well. The rules are so simple as to be virtually non existent.
Just add your name and URL to the Mr Linky.
Publish your photos on your blog using the “Sunday Selections” title.
Link back here to me.
Easy Peasy.
Here are my photos for this week.

EXCELLENT…those were very cool and the shadow/light play in thoese first few…wowsa…another world indeed. Loved it!
I am so happy that you are doing this fun photo meme still…thanks!

It is comments like yours KK that keep me going. Your enthusiasm is infectious and I am smiling here on the other side of the computer 🙂
Thank You
These are really great! I love the light strips in that first one, the bolt is spectacular with all the lights behind it and I love the scaffolding too. Is that from when your studio was being built?
The construction photos are from a new car park that is being built in the city. I was photographing the scaffolding through a gap in the shadecloth. The bottom two photos are of the same view but they are taken with the shadecloth in place, so the shadecloth acted as a filter. I did get some strange looks, as it looked like I was taking photos of a strip of green shadecloth 🙂
Love these Kim. I find reflections to be endlessly fascinating.
The reflections are of the small dam in front of my studio. The light lines in the photo is the sunlight on the surface of the water.
Light/shadow/reflections. So important, so often ignored. Thank you (as always).
Thank you for commenting, otherwise I really would have lost interest 🙂
Love the lines and angles in all of these…
So do I Amanda, these photos just send me off on multiple tangents in my mind. I am glad you like them 🙂 very glad.
I love the reflections in the puddles under the scaffolding.
I am pleased you like them as well del 🙂 I think this set of photos are my favourites.
I thought I saw some ghosts flying by in a couple of these photos. Very interesting.
My favourite is the scaffolding one. Love the rhythm.
I quite often see ghosts here, normally it is the ghost of animals that I have had and loved. For weeks after our old dog Tippy was put down I would catch glimpses of her looking in the window and hear her nails clicking on the wooden verandah as she walked to the back door.
oh… and the reflections. I love the reflections in the scaffolding one too. Meant to add that too my previous comment, but did hit the Submit button too soon 😉
thank you 🙂 I quite like the reflections as well.
I love the abstractions of these. I was lost in a similar world yesterday! I’m slightly off-track away from photos again this week, but it’s all there in my digital archive!!
Once I wander off into light and line and light and shade daydreams I never quite know where I am going to end up.
Ohhh I love them! Particularly the 3rd one. 🙂 x
I knew you would like them Marylin. I loved those industrial shots you took down on the wharves in Glasgow. Bout time you joined in with this meme don’t you think? Extend yourself a bit girlie.
I’m back!
I love the bolt especially. It fits in nicely with my theme for my photos this week 🙂
I think I know the car park you mean. I wanted to take some photos there but it felt too weird & I worried what people would think. So good on you for doing it!
It was the Argyle st car park. I was on the very top level. I did get a few odd looks but nobody commented.
Hi Kim and “Life And Art”
Just thought you should know, when I clicked on the Life and Art link I got taken to a very dodgy looking ‘you have won a free ipad/iphone/macbook’ type page.
This link is very similar to the page I got to and explains how it’s a hoax (except it’s a Swedish version)

Cheers 🙂
I have fixed the link, it is safe to click now. It was a simple error in the URL
Yes…# 6 is scamming us all!

Hi, McAfee won’t let me go to the Life and Art link, so yes, definitely worth removing that one from the list if possible 😉

There’s so much I am loving about those first 4 photos I don’t know where to begin! The lines, and the light … all so good 🙂
