I have a worldwide network of Artists that I engage with via twitter, a lot of these artists have also migrated to Google plus. A friend shared a post asking artists to add their names to a list. I added my name and now my google plus stream has exploded with circle requests from all these seriously interesting people from all over the world.
I thought that I had better add a couple of photos of my work to show that I wasn’t all talk and that I actually do make stuff. I added these next lot of photos to an album on my google plus account and I was quite surprised by the response.
If you click on these images they will open in a new window and you can have a bit of a better look.
People responded to my work and left me complimentary comments.
Hi Kim, I live in a region in France where I see potters work nearly every day, but I do have to say, your work is beautiful.
I didn’t realise how flat I was feeling until I started to feel better.
Thank you internet for helping me believe in myself.

How lovely!! It restores your faith in people, doesn’t it??
Quirky and beautiful. I long to touch many of them and envy your talent. Thanks for sharing.
And well deserved…..but then I have always thought you were a clever clogs xx
Well you know how I feel about your work. I’m glad that you get to share it with such a broad audience now. That’s really cool. Now everyone can see how talented you are. I think you forget that sometimes, maybe you look at your work so much you lose perspective on how beautiful it is?
I thought I had looked at all the pics of your work, but somehow I had not seen that last one. I REALLY like it. 🙂
And, yay! How lovely to have your work reaching a wider and wider appreciative audience! 😀
You never cease to amaze me with your talent, Kim 🙂
The compliments are well deserved. Your work is beautiful. Like Elephant Child I would love to hold them, there’s something tactile about them even in the photographs. I’m glad the comments lifted you up 🙂
I think doubts such as these are what push us forward and cause us to progress as artists…. still, I’m glad such a compliment could brighten your day. (;
that is awesome Kim. 🙂
I’m still getting the hang of G+ but will be starting to go through that artists list soon. It amazes me what is out there.
Lovely work. Who knows where else your work might end up in the near future. Wish I was creative like that.
How wonderful to have your spirits lifted this way!
Of course, I always knew your work was outstanding.
I haven’t seen those black and white red dot cups before. Love them.
One thing that the pics can’t convey is the “heft” of the pieces. I dunno but that’s about half the fun of owning pottery dishes instead of thin little plates. It has a good heft. BTW we find FEWER broken dishes just using the nice pottery, in fact, none has been dropped. You just FEEL that you are picking it up and it doesn’t slip so much, yk? Do you make your family’s dishes? Well, have a lot of questions so shutting up now b/c you have other peeps to talk to. Anyway, hugs from HOT HOT HOT Missouri! 🙂
The eggs and shells really speak to me.
Really.
I think that if I were to touch one, I would feel the hum of the Universe inside…..
France is not the strangest of places, at least not to me! 😉 I love your work Kim and I’m glad the response adds a little self esteem. ( look who’s talking?) YOU of all people, DESERVE this!
