Inspired by the Autism Positivity flash blog Marita from Stuff with Thing and her friend, Jeanie from Reinventing Mommy started a blog, What Autistic Looks Like to show the world that Autistic looks like, You and I, Autism looks just like Us.
This is what Autistic looks like to me.
Autism looks pretty normal to me.
To follow the conversation on twitter these are the hashtags to look for. #WhatAutisticLooksLike #Autism #AutismPositivity

They look beautiful:)
Yes, I think they do as well. 🙂
Those kids are awesome xx
Why yes, Yes they are Fiona. 🙂
I read your headline and wondered what on earth you were going on about. Autistic doesn’t have a “look”.
You can’t look at a crowd of kids and pick the autistic one.
It’s the invisible disability.
And there are so many different degrees of it.
Amy and Isaac are looking great!
Do you like chocolate?
That was why Marita and Jeanie started their new blog together to show that Autsim doesn’t have a look at all. 🙂 Yes I like chocolate, River. Quite a lot actually.
First visit..this is a great idea..and yes as a special education teacher, I can agree…most challenges look just like us…Michelle
Thanks for commenting Michelle 🙂
Labels have their place in a medical setting, but outside … they are useless and misused. A child is a child, to be loved and taught and understood. As adults we lead them as long as they will follow and then we let them go to become who they are. They don’t need labels to tell them who they are … it comes from inside, from the heart. I love your pictures, they are beautiful children.

Yes Andrea I agree with you about the labels. It was a shame to see a celebrity use “You Look Autistic” as an insult but no-one ever said that celebrity equalled brains.
Cutie Pie Pants!
Oh yes indeed Sophia, They make my heart ache with love
Pretty normal, and absolutely gorgeous to boot!
You know, I’ve yet to meet, or see a photo of, an autistic child who isn’t absolutely gorgeous! 🙂 xx
