We most certainly do have a problem with sexism and mysogyny. And the latest scandal in the Department of Defence confirms this vile state of affairs. I was appalled to find out that Defence has been ‘investigating’ this latest outrage for nine months – before handing it over to the police. And I assume that the behaviour continued for that nine months and that more women were targeted. Hiss and spit.
Oh yes. I loved your title too and I had watched this speech on the day it was released and had some twitter banter with someone I didn’t know who suggested Australia was egalitarian and my views misguided. No question in mind that there is mysogyny here. Whether it will resolve before my little girl is a woman, I can only hope.
