Rainbow Fingernails and Mismatched Crocs

Sometimes I just have to over-expose and highlight the hell out of an image to get the effect I want.

colour

These are my rainbow fingernails, the colour selection totally inspired by my seven year old grand daughter Amy.

I started to hum the rainbow song in the supermarket yesterday as a display of heavily discounted nail polish caught my eye. The Spouse assumed I was buying the nail polish for Amy and barely rolled his eyes at me when I told him they were actually for me.

It is very hard to photograph your own fingernails so you will have to take my word for the fact that they look pretty good.

Much easier to photograph my new crocs. My birthday crocs I bought for my birthday *whispers it is on the 2nd*

Do you remember Klout, that flash in the pan measure of a bloggers influence?

At the height of the Klout mania, when brands were judging bloggers by their Klout scores, I manipulated my topics of influence so that I was seen to be a thought leader on zombies and crocs.  Brands and their PRs could take comfort in the fact that come the apocalypse, they would be safe with Frog Ponds Rock.

I like my crocs, I particularly like the fact that me wearing crocs annoys the hell out of some people, so when it came time to retire my favourite purple flowery crocs, my intrepid snow crocs. I decided to go with a colourful pair that makes me smile.

I am smiling now as I look down at my happy feet.

Speaking of happy.

Today is Happy Minion Day.

Molly was obviously not deterred by the fact that I talked at her all day last week and Molly is coming up today again.

And so today my rainbow fingernails, red and blue crocs and the rest of myself will be happily making stamps and digging out glaze tests and making the last of the spoons for my trip to Warrandyte next month.

Excellent NP! Also excellent crocs. I myself do not go for the Croc but my small children are a fan. I endorse anything on your feet that make you happy. Happy bday for the 2nd!

Thank you lovely 🙂 I am enjoying my rainbow fingernails very much. There is much hilarity to be had in the small things

Oh how I Love your brightly coloured nails! And Your Crocs are Devine! I am a supporter of crocs and bright colours.. They bring a smile to my dial! 😀

Wow, that nail polish is bright! Lovely, but very bright.
When they first came out, I wanted a pair of crocs, just never got around to buying a pair. Now there are many cheaper imitations, which I also haven’t bought. I’ll stick with my thongs.

I edited the photo to make the nail polish brighter than it really is River. The colours are bright but not burn your eyeballs out bright. I can’t wear thongs because of the bit that goes in between your toes annoys me, so crocs are my cheap summer shoes.

Crocs have never really caught my eye as being particularly visually appealing, but somehow when they don’t match, they’re lovely! 😀 I might need to get some…

Crocs are so ugly, they are beautiful. And they really annoy some people which if I am feeling especially contrary, amuses me. A lot. Viva le crocrevolution

The rainbow song, paired with your wholehearted enjoyment of small things makes sound sense, as does your capacity for humour and amusement and delight with it .

Some Oriental wisdom, totally unnecessary, but, seemed to fit the theme: joy about the inconsequential.
Simplicity and down to earth, an image of you sipping coffee on the verandah watching the wallaby graze , while inhaling the fragrance of the day, garden or “rose” , simple, but recharging.

Liked this story relating to this hexagram, it illustrates it nicely, but I thought you might enjoy the story in it.

Love the colors of those Crocs! I bought a pair for studio wear a few years ago but they are too wide and I was always falling out of them :-(.

Gorgeous. I bite mine down to occasionally bleeding stumps so nail polish isn’t exactly de rigeur. Ruthie does my toes sometimes. I haven’t managed to fit those in my mouth, except metaphorically, in ages…

Nice colors all around! My nails are boring… but I ordered some crocs and received them in the mail this week like you. Mine are winter ones with fuzzy linings and a bit of a heel on them. Yours have more pizzaz. I like the bounce they give my steps. Last year I ordered their winter boots when they went on sale, and they are the lightest boots ever, very comfortable. Happy Birthday a few days early! We have three February babies at our house.
