I have been meaning to post a photo of myself here for a while and I keep on forgetting. So what better time than now when I have been inspired by my lovely British friend Barbara to bear all. I have been so busy that I haven’t had a chance to visit anyone on line and when I did everyone was naked. YAY.
The idea originally came from Jodie Ansted at Mummy Mayhem.
My gorgeous American friend Kristin wrote that, if you believe that beauty comes from within and would like to support this movement, put up a post on Friday and show us your beautiful self, sans makeup.
It is Saturday here in Tasmania but better late than never.
I don’t wear makeup unless it is a special occasion and this photo is how I generally look every day. Except that in this photo I am remarkably clean. Normally I have clay on me somewhere.

That’s a great photo, is it a self-portrait? There’s so much in your face (or maybe it’s what I know about you from your blog that’s influencing the way I see it).
You look exactly the way I imagined you to be! You rocker chick you. Loving the purpleness too. You rock so hard, Kim. Love you lots. Mwahs mwahs mwahs.
PS. I am at work today, but I just had to comment. Sssh, don’t tell my boss. Hehehe.
@ Marylin, It was taken by my friend Robin at the clay workshop we attended last weekend.
@Brenda hehe you have made me smile, thanks
Oh Kim, I LOVE this photo. You look absolutely gorgeous, truly! I just love seeing all these fresh, open, honest, beautiful faces.
I wish I had a real photo taken of me, rather than holding a little point and shoot camera up with an unflattering flash. Oh well!
Simply beautiful you are. xo
I love your hair! Checking in from tweetdeck, #bloggerswithoutmakeup
Love the photo, Kim 🙂
Ya know, Amy is the dead spit of you 😉
Way to go Kim. Just beautiful. Purple is my all time fave color.
@ Jayne Do you think? I can see a lot of Mum in Amy. It is really nice that you can see me in miss Amy. Really nice!
You are so much more woman than I. Maybe I should take a que from you and do a naked post as well….maybe….maybe not! Any who: it is nice to finally see my friend and I agree with everyone else – gorgeous. But I am biased 😉
You are beautiful, my friend.
Ah, a face to put to the name! I’m not ready to divulge to the masses my full identity yet … the blog is where I bear my soul without fear of being found by those whom I do not wish to share those deeper parts with. But I do get the concept and agree with the intention. Looking forward to meeting you soon.
You look wonderful! I’m so glad that you’ve joined in.
It has been so wonderful to see the character and beauty of so many women through Bloggers Without Makeup.
gorgeous………just gorgeous!
I simply love your hair, gorgeous! I have enormous respect for anyone bold enough to go without makeup all the time; this one day was trying enough for me! Yet, as you said, there are lessons to be learned and this was an important one. Thank you so much for posting.

Hello fellow fabulous Taswegain! What a great shot.
V looks so much like you! Glad to see you – I don’t think I’ve seen a pic before. Yay x
Oh my and can’t we just see the family resemblance across the generations!
Nearest I ever get to make-up these days is to dab on a bit of moisturiser/sunscreen and lipsalve!
You’re beautiful Kim, aging very gracefully. (not that you’re old, not at all) I can see Veronica in your face too. My face is naked all the time too. I don’t enjoy the feeling of makeup.
You are beautiful! I’m glad you posted this photo and I can see your not only in my imagination:)
Looking great sweety! You are just as I imagine you! (including an imaginary bit of clay somewhere on your cheek that’s not present in *this* shot!) My cuddly crazy mad auntie-but-not. 😉 x
Oh man, I love faces. And yours is delish! Onya for taking part!
Gorgeous portrait!!! Love it.
Wow.. I always thought Amy looked like Nathan but she is the spitting image of you!!
It’s like meeting you for the first time … and yet I know you already! I like this .. shows how and what you are – definitely an artist and such a warm and genuine person
That’s a beautiful photo. No, you are beautiful, inside and out.
I don’t think I know three generations of a family that’s not my own – I love that I can see Veronica and Amy in there as well.
You look lovely. Love the hair colour.
I love, love, love your photo. You look great. (Rock chick indeed, Brenda!)
Thanks for taking part. 🙂
I sometimes use little mascara for good luck but on the whole am like you and don’t ‘do’ the whole make up thing. Unless I am going out even then its a nod to the social expectation that perhaps I should!
You look like the friend I imagine in my mind, full of spirit, tenacity, life & love, beautiful both on the inside and out. blog.
It makes me wish I had not chosen the path of annonymous blogger and had had the courage to share my thoughts as me. One day perhaps.
Make up, who can be bothered.
Gorgeous Kim, I love the braid in your hair. But next time I expect more clay, mess is good!
You look so much like your Mom! Love this photo Kim!
Oh I love having a face to put to the words, thanks! And you’re a beautiful lady.
I LOVE your hair!! I think you are beautiful! Just beautiful. Just looking at your picture makes me smile at you… as if you could see me smiling at you!
That’s a very good photo. I’ve been typing all sorts of things about women and make-up and how, in an ideal and fair world, photos of us without it shouldn’t be at all noteworthy. But I delete it because I can’t be succinct, so I’ll tell you instead what I first noticed, which is that you have kind eyes.
I like this photo. When I scrolled down to it, I thought, “I recognise her from her work.” My eyes are like yours 🙂
You are beautiful with or without the clay smears ! It really is a super photo of a super rock star !
