Considering that all Douglas Adams fans know that 42 is the answer, I am seriously pleased to be able to host the 42nd episode of Sunday Selections. Even though I am not sure if you can call a blog post an episode it still sounds pretty cool.
So without further ado here is the intro with the rules
The Blurb
I take a lot of photos and most of them are just sitting around in folders on my desktop not doing anything. I thought that a dedicated post once a week would be a good way to share some of these photos that otherwise wouldn’t be seen by anyone other than me.
I am also remarkably absent minded and I put photos into folders and think that I will publish them later on and then then I never do.
So I have started a photo meme that anyone can join in and play as well. The rules are so simple as to be virtually non existent.
Just add your name and URL to the Mr Linky.
Publish your photos on your blog using the “Sunday Selections” title.

Easy Peasy.

Oohhhh, I like these a lot! The second one is my favorite…such a different landscape than what I see around me.
The second photo is of the Basalt boulders on the top of Mount Wellington. The Mountain is the back drop to our capital city Hobart and is only 10 minutes drive from the city centre. I adore the mountain 🙂
The branches swirling up to reach the sky are wonderful, I want to reach up with them.
I wasn’t sure about that photo Marita, there was something about it that I liked but I couldn’t quite put my finger on it. The branches are from my apricot tree that self seeded behind the house water tank and just grows happily away.
I declare the photos Mostly Harmless!! I like the second on too!!
🙂
Love the 3rd photo.
I am pleased I posted it then Megan, I nearly didn’t.
You capture the sky (in all its moods) so beautifully. Thank you.
I spend a lot of time just looking at the sky EC. I am pleased you liked the photos. If you keep on liking my photos I will keep on sharing them.
Love that second photo, the multitudes give a feeling of a scattered landscape 🙂
I love it as well. It reminds me of the Terracotta warriors for some reason. It is the basalt boulders at the top of Mount Wellington.
Rocks!
You’ve got ROCKS!!
I love rocks.
The second photo is truly amazing.
What is that last one? Plant? Fencing wire?
Lots and lots of rocks River :). They are basalt boulders on the top of Mount Wellington. The last one is a $2 spinny thing that Mum used to have hanging on her verandah.
The mountain view makes my heart do flip-flops. I envy you loving the mountain and having a legitimate claim to do so. I am such an interloper. Can I say I like it very, very, very, very much and am exceedingly fond of it?
I know some true Tasmanians who weren’t born here Jebaru. It is perfectly acceptable for you to love the mountain you know. xx
Thanks, you’ve made my day 🙂
Photo 4 is my absolute favourite. Not that I don’t like the other ones of course. The landscape around your place is simply stunning. So different from where we are. But that little drop on those spirally things… luvly 😉
Gorgeous photos! You have a great idea for perspective! I’m jealous.
Those stones …. I must visit them one day.
…and I love the shiny spinny thing. Great DOF
Hi Kim,
Your photos rock! The second one is the one I like most. They do look like stone men, don’t they.
There’s something about that mountain view…I swear I can feel the air right here in front of the PC.
Glad you also included the third photo. It reminds of the that line from the poem Trees…”and lifts its leafy arms to pray.”
Thanks for sharing these photos with us. Have a nice day!
I have 2 sisters visiting Tassie at the moment and looking at those landscapes has made me remember how jealous of them I am.
Love the last one, a piece of jewellry? Suppose I could look through the comments 😉 No just a “spinning thing” LOL
